Prior to his current role, Kemal was Managing Director, Emerging Markets for pladis since 2019.

Prior to joining pladis, Kemal worked for Yildiz Holding for nine years where his final role was Vice President of International Sales. During his time with Yildiz Holding, Kemal was responsible for the merger of all category sales companies. In the 15 years prior to joining Yildiz Holding, Kemal held sales and marketing roles in Eczacibaşi Holding. He was also a leadership team member for several joint ventures with global FMCGs entering the Turkish market.

Kemal has lived and worked in Turkey, Egypt and the UK. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in the USA and has a BA in Business Administration from Istanbul University in Turkey.
