Emeka joined pladis in 2017 as General Counsel West Africa & Company Secretary. He is a seasoned lawyer with over 20 years’ experience and brought with him a strong background in corporate commercial law, company law and practice, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
Prior to joining the business, he was the Head of Chambers at the law firm of Elvira Salleras & Associates specializing in commercial and corporate legal practice, company laws, regulatory compliance, labour laws, tax law etc.
Emeka acquired an LLB from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is also an alumnus of the University of London, UK where he was awarded a Master of Laws degree with specialization in International Business Law, a Post Graduate Diploma in Laws with specialization in Commercial and Corporate Law as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Laws with specialization in Tax Law. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
Emeka is also the company’s Data Protection Officer (DPO).
