McVitie's reveal commemorative Coronation tin
Royal Warrant holder McVitie’s reveals limited edition commemorative biscuit tin for the Coronation of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen Consort.
Design features a pair of wellies, watercolour painting materials and the flora of each of the four nations around the Royal Crest - in a nod to their shared characters and hobbies.
London 2023: Royal Warrant holder McVitie’s has announced the launch of a limited-edition biscuit tin to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort.
The Commemorative Biscuit Selection contains an assortment of delicious biscuits, including British classics like Custard Creams, Jam Rings and Shortcakes.
The distinctive design was inspired by the passions of The King and Queen Consort and features a pair of wellies, which pay tribute to their joint love of nature and the outdoors; watercolour painting materials, a hobby of King Charles’; and the flora of each of the four nations: the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales, and the shamrock of Northern Ireland, surrounding the Royal Crest.
McVitie’s has long enjoyed an association with the Royal Family; they have been a Royal Warrant holder since 1893 and for almost two centuries they have provided cakes for Royal events, welcomed Royal visitors to their bakeries, and produced limited-edition biscuit tins to mark special occasions in the Royal calendar
Previous commemorative tins have been released to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in 2011 and Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

We wanted to reflect the personality of both King Charles and Camilla in the design and hope people will join us in celebrating this historic occasion with a cup of tea and a biscuit.”
McVitie’s Commemorative Biscuit Selection will be available from 10th April from Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, ASDA, Amazon and other major retailers (RRP: £5.50) and is available while stocks last.
