Mert has led the Middle East and North Africa since August 2016.

Prior to his current role, Mert worked for Yildiz Holding for 11 years where he held senior operational and commercial positions in several functions and companies. Mert’s final position with Yildiz Holding was Vice President of Ülker International where he was responsible for the distribution of Ülker and other trading brands globally.

Prior to joining Yildiz Holding, Mert was a Business Development Engineer with Siemens VDO Automotive in the USA for two years where he was responsible for the coordination of the R&D, Sales and Marketing functions.

Mert has lived and worked in Turkey, the USA and Saudi Arabia. He has an MBA from Old Dominion University in the USA, and an MSc and BSc in Industrial Engineering from Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey.
